Exosens 4G (formerly Photonis) is a high-performance image intensifier tube designed to provide excellent image quality and detection range in demanding low-light conditions.

Positioned above ECHO and ECHO+ and below 4G+, 4G is the established mid-tier performance option in the current Exosens range. It combines fast auto-gating with an extended spectral response. P45 white tubes are available to order with a minimum Figure of Merit (FOM) of 1800 or 2000; select your preferred option above.

Exosens 5G sits at the top of the range and is available only by enquiry to approved military and government customers.

Choosing the correct tube

This product uses the 18 mm 10160-style, three-contact EGAC tube format. Please check the product images and compatibility with your device. Contact Deep Dark before ordering if you are unsure whether this version is suitable.

Tube format and gain control

This is an 18 mm 10160-style tube with three contact pads. The centre contact provides external gain control through a 180 kΩ EGAC circuit when used in a compatible three-contact device.

It can also be installed in a compatible standard two-contact device. In that configuration, the centre contact remains unconnected and the tube operates without user-adjustable manual gain, using its automatic brightness-control functions.

P45 white versions may be purchased online for delivery to approved countries. P43 green versions with minimum FOM 1800 or 2000 are available by enquiry only; please contact Deep Dark for availability and pricing. All orders remain subject to product availability and applicable destination, end-use and export-control checks. We may contact you for additional information before dispatch.

Availability and lead time: In-stock P45 tubes are dispatched on our normal schedule. If a P45 tube is not currently in stock, it remains available to order with a lead time of up to four weeks. We will confirm the expected dispatch date after your order. P43 remains enquiry-only.
