Manufactured by Exosens (formerly Photonis), ECHO+ is an 18 mm 10160-style, three-contact EGAC format image intensifier tube offering higher performance within the ECHO range. It is available with P43 green phosphor or P45 white phosphor.

External gain control (EGAC) is supplied as standard and is configured for a 180 kΩ control circuit.

Tube format and gain control

This is an 18 mm 10160-style tube with three contact pads. The centre contact provides external gain control through a 180 kΩ EGAC circuit when used in a compatible three-contact device.

It can also be installed in a compatible standard two-contact device. In that configuration, the centre contact remains unconnected and the tube operates without user-adjustable manual gain, using its automatic brightness-control functions.
